From March 2006 to May 2007, arc hosted a series of architect led evening lectures aimed at engaging the public and built environment professionals in quality architecture and built environment.
Our aim was to invite architects who had worked in the Yorkshire region, therefore making their work more accessible to our audience and saw 12 architects coming to Hull for the arc talks programme.
The 12 exhibition was the celebration of the end of this first highly successful year of the arc talks programme and also a celebration of all the wonderful architecture to be seen in the region. It highlighted the processes involved in creating great design and included visuals from the earliest sketches to the final models, plans and drawings of all of the buildings in the region featured in the series.
The 12 exhibition was launched at a reception on the evening of 12 June. 12 architectural practices contributed material and included six models of schemes designed in the Yorkshire region. Over 120 people visited the exhibition which closed on 12 July and was featured in the Yorkshire Post.
